Employees closing up for the night at a west Santa Rosa pizza parlor were held up late Saturday by two masked men, at least one of them armed with a semi-automatic handgun, police said.
The two men came into the Round Table Pizza on Occidental Road around 11:30 p.m. while three employees were still present, police Sgt. John Cregan said.
One young woman had just closed up the safe when the gunman threatened her and demanded she reopen it, terrifying and flustering her so much that she was unable to remember the code, police said. The suspects eventually took her purse and cellphone and fled. They remained at large.
The suspects were said to be young white men in their late teens or early 20s.
