July 4th Bell Ringing: The Petaluma Museum Association is hosting its annual bell-ringing ceremony, a local event that began in 1962 with Mayor Helen Putnam, and joins communities all across the nation in this American tradition. Fireworks Hike: Why go to one fireworks show when you can see them all? Hikers are invited to take a trek to the top of Bald Mountain in Sugarloaf from 7-11 p.m. where you will be treated to as many as 18 different fireworks displays around the Bay Area.
