NFL schedule release: 49ers host Seahawks on Thanksgiving night (w/video)

The 49ers will open the upcoming NFL season on the road Sept. 7 against the Dallas Cowboys and debut Levi's Stadium for a prime-time audience against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week 2.

The 49ers host NFC West rival and defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks on Thanksgiving night, then travel to Seattle for a rematch just two weeks later.

San Francisco is initially scheduled to play in four prime-time games, which could change depending on the NFL's flex scheduling, which takes effect Week 5.

Among those nationally televised events are back-to-back road matchups in St. Louis on Monday Night Football in Week 6 and a Sunday Night Football showdown at Denver the following week.

The Raiders will be racking up flight miles for the first four weeks of the season.

Oakland starts Week 1 on the East Coast Sept. 7 against the New York Jets.

The Raiders return for their home opener against Houston in Week 2, then fly back to the East Coast to face New England before traveling overseas to London for a Week 4 matchup against Miami. Oakland then gets a bye in Week 5.

The Raiders host the 49ers on Dec. 7 in Week 14, in between San Francisco's two annual matchups against the Seahawks.

Oakland has one prime-time game, a Thursday night home matchup against AFC West rival Kansas City on Nov. 20.
