Treasury Wine Estates has appointed Adam Richardson as vice president and chief winemaker for its Americas brands.
Richardson will lead TWE’s winemaking team and oversee its U.S. brands which include Beringer Vineyards, Chateau St. Jean, Stags’ Leap Winery, Etude, Souverain, St. Clement, Meridian Vineyards and others.
Richardson, who has 25 years of industry experience, previously worked at The Wine Group as winemaker for the Cupcake brand. He has served in leadership roles in the wine business in the U.S. and Australia, including winemaking roles at Concannon Vineyard and E&J Gallo.
“We’re excited to have Adam join us just in time for vintage 2013 and to lead our first-class winemaking team,” said Michael Kluczko, TWE’s senior vice president of Americas supply.
Pauli to be honored by California Association of Winegrape Growers
The board of directors of the California Association of Winegrape Growers will celebrate outgoing chairman Bill Pauli, a longtime grapegrower, with a reception and dinner on Nov. 6.
The reception will be held at The Lodge at Sonoma at 5:30 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.

Russian River wine tasting Oct. 23 at Fort Mason
The Russian River Valley Winegrowers and Uncorked Events will host a tasting experience of Russian River Valley single vineyard wines on Oct. 23 at Fort Mason in San Francisco.
More than 25 winemakers and winegrowers will be pouring small-lot, single vineyard wines. Participating wineries include ACORN Winery/Alegria Vineyards, Balletto Vineyards & Winery, Bucher Vineyard, Carrozzi Vineyard, Davis Family Vineyards, Dutton-Goldfield Winery, Hanna Winery, HKG Estates at Hop Kiln Vineyards, Inman Family Wines, John Tyler Wines/Bacigalupi Vineyards, Joseph Swan Vineyards, La Crema, La Follette, Matrix, Novy Family Wines, Nunes Vineyard/St. Rose Winery, Sandole Wines, Siduri, Russian River Vineyards, Suacci Carciere, Thomas George Estates, Two Shepherds, Valdez Family Winery, VML Winery and Williams Selyem.
