La Tortilla Factory announced that Edgar Torres has been elevated to plant manager. Torres, who has been with the company for more than 14 years, assumes responsibility for the oversight, management and continuous improvement of production, facilities maintenance and supply chain functions.

Alicia Wallace has joined Petaluma Health Center’s senior management team as human resources director. Wallace has been involved as a volunteer with PHC since 2005. She brings more than 12 years of human resource management and organizational experience with a background in software, professional services, construction and telecommunications.

Sonoma Bank has hired Joe Smith as senior vice president and small business administration and commercial real estate sales executive. Smith comes to Sonoma with 20 years experience in commercial lending. He most recently was with American Business Lending in Dallas, Texas, where he served as president.

Jennifer Wong Christensen and Sandy Stack have joined Sonoma Academy in Santa Rosa. Christensen was most recently director of college counseling at the Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena and has been appointed to the same position at Sonoma Academy. Stack was formerly director of admissions training and development at Kaplan Higher Educational Corp. in Chicago and has been named Sonoma Academy’s director of enrollment and marketing.

Cindy Johnson has been named to Brown-Forman’s grower relations team as grower relations representative for the Central Coast and Northern Interior growing regions. Johnson’s agricultural career spans more than two decades. Most recently she served as the director of viticulture for Vino Farms of Lodi.

Carolyn Withers and Karin Whitney, property supervisors at Eugene Burger Management Corp., received the designation of certified community association manager designation from the California Association of Community Managers.

Dining for Women, a nonprofit grass roots organization with more than 160 nationwide chapters, has formed a new chapter in Cotati. Dining for Women empowers women living in extreme poverty by funding programs fostering good health, education and economic self-sufficiency. Chapter members meet for dinner in someone’s home rather than at a restaurant, and donate the money they would have spent dining out to international programs.

Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. announced that James Settles has joined their firm as North Bay benefits practice leader. Settles has 22 years of experience designing and managing health and welfare programs, with a focus on federal and state regulatory compliance, market analysis, wellness programs, financial analysis including alternative funding methods, benefit plans for wineries and vineyards, and human resources technology solutions. Prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer, he spent twelve years with ABD Insurance Services.

Basin Street Hospitality, a division of Basin Street Properties, has named Greg Knoell general manager and Bill Govan assistant general manager and director of sales for the new Hampton Inn & Suites in Windsor. The 116-room hotel is part of the Hilton family of hotels and will open in October. Knoell was previously the general manager at Basin Street Hospitality’s Holiday Inn Express in Corning. Govan joins the Hampton Inn & Suites from Basin Street Hospitality’s Sheraton Sonoma County in Petaluma, where he was the operations manager and director of catering.

The California Association of Community Managers has announced that Kelly Moss has earned the certified community association manager designation. Moss is with Steward Property Management in Petaluma.
