Beer's bitter hops go well with spicy curry dish that's ideal for a summer picnic

No wine glass this week. Instead, wine writer Peg Melnik pulled out a pint glass for a blind tasting of 11 India pale ales, or IPAs. The results: complexity that rivaled a cellared cabernet. Hops, used to spice the beer, had a range of flavors, from floral to herbal to citrusy.
