Redwood Regional Medical announces Dadjou resignation, names interim CEO

SANTA ROSA, Aug. 15, 2008 – Redwood Regional Medical Group today announced the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Shahab Dadjou and the hiring of former hospital executive Wayne Fairchild as interim CEO.

Spokeswoman Maureen Middlebrook said Mr. Dadjou, who had held the position for five years, submitted his resignation in May but stayed on to finish a few projects before leaving, including expansions in Napa.

Redwood Regional said it would under take a nationwide search to fill the position.

Mr. Fairchild joins the medical group after serving as vice president of operations for Petaluma Valley Hospital. Previous to coming to Sonoma County, he worked as an administrator for the Hawaii Health System Corp. and was also chief executive officer for Kula Hospital.

Mr. Dadjou said he left to pursue other interests. Under his leadership Redwood doubled in size.
