Dr. Robert Eyler, chair of the Economics Department at Sonoma State University and director of the Center for Regional Economic Analysis, will give an economic overview, taking a look at how national and statewide economic issues are playing out at the local level.
A panel discussion will follow, focusing on the leading areas influencing Napa County's business community.
• Joe Peatman of the Gasser Foundation will talk about developments and need-to-know information in the vital emerging field of sustainability.
• Pat Stotesbery, chair of the Napa Valley Vintners and owner of Ladera Vineyards, will address wine industry regulatory and water issues.
• Jeri Hansen-Gill of NewLevel Group and acting CEO of the Napa Valley Conference & Visitors Bureau will outline opportunities in developing a destination brand strategy.
• Keith Rogal of Rogal + Walsh + Mol will tackle the subject of project development – navigating pitfalls and keys to success.
•Napa County Executive Officer Nancy Watt will discuss challenges and new efforts in housing, jobs, transportation and the budget.
BUSINESS JOURNAL Editor Brad Bollinger will moderate the discussion.
The event will be held Tuesday, August 26 at the Napa Valley Marriott in Napa. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tickets are $35 per person or $250 for a table of 10, including continental breakfast.
