River Rock Casino donates $1.8 million for Healdsburg women’s health center

NORTH BAY, May 7, 2008, -- The Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians and River Rock Entertainment Authority are donating $1.8 million to support a new women’s health center run by Healdsburg District Hospital and Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County.

The tribe and entertainment authority, which runs the River Rock Casino, will donate $30,000 per month for five years to the foundation.

The new facility, called the Dry Creek Rancheria Women’s Health Center, will open Thursday. It includes radiology, mammography and ultrasound facilities and will be used for women’s health education programs.
