Giants score 5 runs off Sheets

The Giants tagged Milwaukee Brewers ace Ben Sheets for his first five runs of the spring as San Francisco batted around in the second inning of 8-4 win Tuesday at Phoenix.
Matt Cain was quickly down, 2-0, in the first inning after hitting Rickie Weeks with a high fastball and yielding an RBI triple to Mike Cameron and a sacrifice fly to Prince Fielder.
Cain said it all could've been avoided had he found his location with two strikes on Weeks.
"Sometimes it's going to happen, but there's nothing worse than doing that with a two-strike count," Cain said. "I calmed back down and kind of got the ball down in the strike zone. I started to mix it up a little bit more and kept them off balance."
Cain struck out four and didn't allow any more runs, getting a pat and handshake from manager Bruce Bochy after finishing the fourth inning by striking out Jason Kendall.
The Giants committed another error, their 22nd in 15 games.
The Giants sent right-hander Osiris Matos, right-hander Kelvin Pichardo, outfielder John Bowker and outfielder Clay Timpner to their minor-league camp.
CROSBY HOMERS IN A'S WIN
Bobby Crosby hit a three-run homer against left-handed reliever Scott Eyre in the sixth, and three Oakland pitchers limited the Cubs to seven hits in a 6-4 A's victory agains the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday at Mesa, Ariz.
The A's scored five runs against Chicago's bullpen in the sixth and seventh innings.
"I'm getting a little concerned about a couple of our guys," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said. "Look, we don't have much longer. I'm going to have to start getting them in there a little more often. Forget these days off."
The victory improved Oakland's record to 9-5 in the Cactus League while Chicago dropped to 5-9.
The A's opened the scoring in the second when Jack Cust led off with a home run to right-center against ace Carlos Zambrano.
Zambrano worked four innings, giving up four hits and one run. He struck out three and did not walk a batter. The run was the first Zambrano has given up this spring in three starts.
The Cubs went ahead 2-1 in the fifth against reliever Huston Street. Geovany Soto walked with two outs and scored on Sam Fuld's triple past right fielder Travis Buck. Casey McGehee followed with an RBI single.
Crosby's homer in the sixth came after Eyre committed an error when he was late covering first base on a grounder by Daric Barton.
Eyre walked Cust before Crosby homered to left.
Cust had two hits for Oakland as did Ryan Sweeney and Carlos Gonzalez.
A's starter Greg Smith worked four scoreless innings, giving up two hits. He walked one and struck out two.
Street got the win, with Gio Gonzalez earning a save.
