Structure fires on opposite ends of the county kept firefighters busy Saturday.

The first in the Graton area on Peaks Pike Road involved a small unoccupied house.

The fire, reported at 7:30 a.m., was suspicious in nature, according to a Sonoma County Fire official.

The 600-to 800-square-foot house was destroyed along with a pickup. The fire consumed about half an acre.

In the afternoon, a barn fire in the Glen Ellen area drew firefighters from Kenwood, Bennett Valley, Santa Rosa and the state Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention.

The fire at the end of London Ranch Road was reported at 3:38 p.m. and contained by 4:30 p.m.

Damage was estimated at $150,000.

The barn's owner was injured in the fire and transported to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, a Cal Fire spokesman said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
