A Petaluma man was shot with an electric stun gun after allegedly refusing to comply with officers investigating a disturbance, police said Tuesday.
Shane Kee, 39, was arrested after an incident at Park Lane Apartments on Magnolia Street, Petaluma Police Sgt. Tara Salizzoni said.
Officers were checking a report of noise at the complex basketball courts at about 10 p.m. Monday when they noticed someone hiding in some bushes, Salizzoni said.
Kee came out but refused to show his hands and attempted to flee on foot, Salizzoni said.
Officers used a Taser gun to subdue him, Salizzoni said.
Kee was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of trespassing, resisting a police officer, providing a false name and being a wanted parolee, Salizzoni said.
It appeared Kee was not connected to the original noise complaint, Salizzoni said.
